Not Your Average Booth: How GG Booths Help You Achieve Your Goals
Booths have electricity, internet, and furniture. They are versatile spaces that adapt to your goals.
Your booth can be a stage, a lab, a classroom—or all three.
At most conferences, booths are transactional spaces—places where you hand out a few brochures, collect business cards, and hope someone follows up. At the Global Gathering (GG), we’re reimagining what a booth can be. GG Booths also serve as a cornerstone of the 2025 event.
To submit a booth proposal, first apply to attend the GG through the GG platform. Once approved, you will be able to select “Submit a Booth Proposal” from your dashboard. This option is only available to approved GG attendees.
GG Booths are not typical expo-like physical spaces. They are designed to be flexible hubs where you can achieve your goals in an impactful way. Unlike traditional conferences, GG focuses on organic networking, trust building, and rejuvenation. If you don’t adapt your strategy to the unique design of GG, you may miss valuable opportunities.
Booths are Housed in Permanent Structures and Offer Endless Possibilities
The GG venue is quite unique. Reminiscent of a small village or a renaissance fair, the forested, outdoor venue is enclosed by a wall where over 100+ permanent booth structures line it. These “booths” have electricity, and some even have water. Check out pictures of the venue here.
Achieve Strategic Goals, Your Way
You define what success looks like. Want to recruit new partners? Test a prototype? Launch a new initiative? Host a listening session? GG Booths are versatile spaces that adapt to your goals. Your booth can be a stage, a lab, a classroom—or all three.
Here are some ideas of how you can use a booth - whether you want to showcase your work, host interactive activities, or provide direct support to participants.
Showcase your project or organization, and connect with attendees through conversation, materials, and Q&A
Run a live tool demo, allowing participants to try out your project firsthand
Host a game or interactive activity, especially one with an educational or awareness-raising goal
Create a community hub for a particular network, region, or interest group
Offer a service, such as digital security support or UX/accessibility consultations
Curate an exhibit that creatively highlights your work at the intersection of tech and human rights
Share research or publications, with time to chat and answer questions
Host a mini-workshop, giving attendees a chance to learn directly from your team
Bring any devices, materials, demos, and decorations you need.
Your booth can be a stage, a lab, a classroom—or all three.
Built for Connection, Not Just Promotion
Forget passive foot traffic. GG Booths help you build lasting relationships and create impactful collaborations. Whether you're a small grassroots org or a large network, booths provide you with a dedicated space to engage the community in the way that suits your best interests.
The Logistics: Support to Make it Happen
Worried about logistics? Don’t be. Your booth can be as fancy or as simple as you want it to be. In fact, preparing for a booth is less work than preparing for a typical conference talk.
TCU can help you think through your booth concept and impact. We can also provide you with recommendations on materials, signage, and equipment based on availability. You bring the vision, we help bring it to life. Questions? Email gather@digitalrights.community
