Leading experts and projects will also be featured on a regular basis.

Do you have digital security questions? Are you feeling stuck in a silo and just want to connect with global peers? Do you want to highlight a new digital rights challenge in your region or share your work? Then Digital Rights Socials (DRS) are for YOU!

Regardless of where you call home, DRS provides you with the opportunity to connect with the global community every month on TCU’s virtual community space. Meet with experts, connect with rights defenders from around the world, share your work, and have deeper conversations regarding topics sitting at the intersection of rights and technology. This year, we will be featuring new projects and tools, highlight current regional challenges and priorities, and address topics that matter most to you!

What are Digital Rights Socials?

Digital Rights Socials are monthly virtual meetups held on the TCU Mattermost instance. The Socials are facilitated by a TCU team member, and each session centers around a specific topic, project, tool, or expert-led discussion. They also give all of us an opportunity to touch base in the months between in-person events.

Who can join Digital Rights Socials?

The Socials are geared towards both new and long-time members of the digital rights community. The only requirement to attend is that you must be registered on TCU's Mattermost. Apply to join here

Can I suggest a topic for the Socials?

Yes!!! We want to make sure that these Socials are designed for and by the community. If you have suggestions about topics to cover, projects to feature, or just want to help us brainstorm, then please reach out to us at team@digitalrights.community

For the most up to date info about the Digital Rights Socials check out our Wiki page.  See you there!
