Announcing the 2023 VPN Village!
The 2023 VPN Village is an online workshop series which includes several experts and users insights around the world. The sessions will be spread out during the last week of November and first week of December. VPN is a tool that allows users to protect their security and anonymity online and, in some cases, access censored content. This year the workshops will focus on regional user education, legal challenges to using VPNs, and using and scaling your own circumvention tools.

The Welcome to Digital Rights Village will run in the month of May 2023, and feature various expert-led sessions, explaining how they started their career. Whether you are a technologist, researcher, communications professional, community organizer, policy advocate, or any other profession, there is a career path for you in the digital rights field.

The VPN Village is a two-week virtual series of events focused on VPN user education and solidarity. The events held over the last week of November and first week of December will address gaps in user education around VPNs, the challenge of analyzing and selecting a VPN, and will show attendees how to set up their own VPN servers and proxies to support their communities and users combatting censorship globally.
