The Wellbeing Monthly: Once a Month Psychosocial Educational Workshop for Digital Rights Defenders
Team CommUNITY is happy to announce The Wellbeing Monthly, where once a month we host a psychosocial educational workshop designed for digital rights defenders. The series will run from June to December and will be led by diverse mental health professionals. The sessions will focus on psychoeducation and coping mechanisms on diverse topics including anxiety and fear, guilt and survivors guilt, defeat and hopelessness, trauma, and burnout and stress.
Announcing the Community Health Report 2022/2023!
Team CommUNITY’s (TCU) Community Health Report 2022/2023 (CHR) provides regional year-in-reviews from our four Community Leads in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and MENA, based on their year’s long work nurturing digital rights community networks in their respective region. It also highlights opportunities and emerging threats facing digital rights defenders.
Psychosocial Circles Now Open!
The Spring enrollment of three psychosocial “circles” is open! It is a series of weekly virtual private gatherings, led by mental health professionals, that provide digital rights defenders with the opportunity to process experiences and emotions, while learning adaptive coping mechanisms, and connecting with others facing similar challenges.
Announcing the 2020 Community Health Report
We are happy to announce the release of the ”2020 Community Health Report: Building Stronger Communities - The case for mental health support for digital rights defenders.” The first report of its kind using a community health lens to provide a snapshot of the wellbeing of digital rights and internet freedom networks around the world.
